Comments on: A Fathers Tale http://www.fathers-rights.co.uk/2010/09/a-fathers-tale/ campaigning for justice so our children are brought up by both parents Thu, 19 Apr 2012 08:00:07 +0000 hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.3.17 By: Nicolae http://www.fathers-rights.co.uk/2010/09/a-fathers-tale/comment-page-1/#comment-1066 Thu, 19 Apr 2012 08:00:07 +0000 http://www.fathers-rights.co.uk/?p=322#comment-1066 I think it is an absolute shame that the two previous posts sum up what this country has come to due to an inept system that dictates parental rights. An outdated law crazily reviewed by some hoity toity do gooder who is in my opinion clearly out of touch with todays society based on the findings’ of his report. I am fortunate enough to see my daughter from a pvuoires relationship as both my ex partner and I are reasonable people and understand it is in the best interests of our child. As a result, she is one of the happiest kids anybody would ever meet! My brother on the other hand is climbing the walls as his ex is pulling out every false trick possible to ensure he can’t see his kids just so she can win’. I would be beside myself if my ex decided I could not see my daughter again and the fact a stupid ruling in family law so it is ok for a mother to make that decision makes me furious!!

With a calculation on how much child maintenance i am expected to pay. And I’ve just done the budgetting. I’m in a pretty steady away job working 5 to 7 days a week for a good rate of pay but guess what. First rent cuts my wage in half. The tax man gets more money than me. My expartner/kids get more money than me. The bbc(tv licence) gets more money than me. The water board get more money than me. Ryedale council (council tax)get more money than me. I have to get to work by train so the train company get more money than me. EON electric and gas get more money than me. I work in the job center as it happens and all the bagheads, scrotes and undesirables who come into the jobcenter are getting more money than me ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? There is no help and advice for me and there is nothing I can do about it. And if I leave my job I would not be entitled to benefits for six months. I am working for nothing at all . Checkmate. Its fair to say I have considered laying my head on the railway track. But I just can’t break my my kids hearts now can I ?

To my mind there should be much more equally shared parenting – for the last ten years myself and exhusband have stuck to a one week on one week off timetable which only changes for the summer holidays (3 weeks each) and at Xmas to ensure each parent gets every other year with our children. It seems to have worked well and means that as parents we hardly have to communicate as there are few moveables – and any communication is by email. The children seem to have done well out of it and its meant that they cannot be used as pawns. I realise this is more difficult for a man to put in place than a woman, but its worth going for. I’ve set up a website for gender equality – http://www.thedebate.uk.com. Any thoughts welcome.
