my daughter was taken from me in 2008 the caffcass officer and teachers of the local school where my daughter attended were all behind me infact i had a very good case. the problem was i had a very bad choice in solicitor who in effect told me not to bother because “the mother always wins”….to the point of not even showing up in court for the final hearing. as of the final hearing it was a complete farce. my ex wife and her new husband made ridiculous statments about me and made promises in court to the judge that they would make arrangements for me to see my daughter regularly at weekends and holidays etc. then they moved to scotland over 350 miles away, and surprise, they do not make any effort to stick to the court rulings that were set,even to the point of not allowing my daughter to come to my wedding which she was a brides maid. they are both on benefits and now my daughter has told me that her mom cant bring her to the arranged meeting place made by the courts because they are too poor. even tho ive always payed matainence since the day she left me. i have just payed a solicitor a massive fee only to be told that because they have moved to scotland they cannot do anything and for me and to start proceedings again there…i just cannot afford it. the family justice system does not work it has no way of policing what rules have been set allowing women to freely destroy relationships when they feel like it. the sad fact is the best advice i have had came from a man in the pub.. who had been through this all before …..he said bide you time there are alot of people that will make money from your situation. the best thing that all fathers can do is keep in contact with your kids talk to them whenever you can, because when they are older more likely than not they will find you, and you can always hold your head high and say you’ve done your best. i do believe this and ive seen the evidence for myself, there will always be a bond, the only person that can break it, is yourself by not staying in contact. i hope this works for me and all other fathers out there…because the family court system certainly will not. for the children and for yourselves do not give in.

This site is very usefull for people like us, i believe mothers and fathers should have the same rights equally. This countrys law lets the fathers down bad style. Every time the goverment says they will do something about it, they dont and they let the fathers down really badly. I dont think the goverment dont even care about f4j, what i really think all the politician’s who are male’s should wear skirts from now. For god sake you political men grow a bloody pair and get your head out of your lady’s arses and give us fathers equal rites. All the time the goverment lets us down why? What i dont get is what’s so hard about making this simple law for both parents. I believe if this law came out it will benefit both the parents and above all the child or children. Atleast then know one will have to suffer or go through horrible emotions that affect their healths and thier way of life all because they want to see their children. The law should be out a.s.a.p. it would benefit us all.It feels like the goverment dont want to do anything about it or do anything for genuine caring fathers who just wants the same rites as the mother.

I have just read the post that John Russell has written and it is just like reading about what my son is going through at the moment , the only difference is that my son’s ex-partner isn’t a WPC. My son has been driven to suicide because she has been making false accusation against him and she is being believed. It is a year since my son has seen his son and a year since we last saw our grandson. My son saw his son with his ex-partners father . My son waved to his son but his son didn’t recognise him because he is now only 2 years old. This has broken my sons heart. We are all going through hell at the moment.

I have read David Norgrove’s views and In my humble opinion I have never read so much rubbish in all my life this person is clearly a charlaton if he does not understand that two parents are better than one and having the blessing of a fathers being in a childs life is a life time benefit for the child.

David Norgrove in my opinion is a brainless moron, cretin imbecile, idiot, and is completely clueless on this subject. How on earth he manages to secure these high level positions with his midset and views on father’s rights that go back to the sixties and seventies is beyond belief.

I have a 2 year old child and I see him as much as possible and have even secured all my rights in a court of law.

He is a poor cretin that was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I would do anything for my child.

I think his report should be put where it belongs in the bin and he should change his mindset which is a joke just like his stupid character.

Hi, this may sound like a silly question but here goes. My ex wife has remarried and I have given her permission for my Daughter to have the same surname as her new husband, do I still have the same rights, we were married for 2 years before she was born.

I had an argument with my ex just before i was meant to take my son on holiday with my new partner and her daughter in august she had me arrested for common assualt she changed her phone number i’ve received threats from her family and haven’t seen my little boy since. Through out the 18 months i’d been seeing my son she was always causing arguments changing times and days when i was meant to pick him up i feel so frustrated and helpless Christmas this year was so hard and theres not a moment goes by i don’t think about him i miss him so much

Do i have the same rights fighting for my step son as i do fighting for my biological son. He is now seven and i have been in his life since he was just one. I have been separated from there mother for three plus years, since our youngest was less than one. In the three years i have been with a new partner and for the first two years we was aloud both children to come and stay at our house, for weekends and school holidays, or when the mother had plans, along side my partners two beautiful daughters (who consider my sons as brothers) but for the last year, because of a personal bust up between myself and the boys mum, she has not let us see them or have any contact at all. We do not know what to do or how she can just decide to hurt us all by stopping us. I miss my boys, but the most painful thing is i know how much they miss me. Please advise. Thank you. Danny Smith.
