The UK claims to be a democratic society but fathers are still being discriminated against, despite child welfare concerns.

Organisations such as New Fathers For Justice, Real Fathers For Justice and Families Need Fathers have been campaigning for years but the new Conservative-led government need to keep their promises and actually amend the law to safeguard our children and start to mend “broken Britain”.

With David Cameron at the helm of the government and the promises made to New Fathers For Justice, we expect the family law to be amended by Winter 2011, as promised by Henry Bellingham.

For too long, children have been suffering at the hands of inadequate laws and failing labour ministers, it is time for change and I am hopeful that this can now happen.
